Rowlands Pharmacy is proud to announce we have partnered with Practio, a Danish tech and healthcare company, to launch a new Travel Health Service in Rowlands pharmacies from the 1st July. The private travel vaccination initiative will be initially rolling out across five branches within the Liverpool area for six months.

Our initial pilot in July will help us learn quickly and enable us to provide a service which is growing in demand. It’s an exciting opportunity to ensure community pharmacy meets the needs of our local patients.”
Practio has produced an exclusive travel health service website, cobranded with Rowlands Pharmacy. Its aim is to provide comprehensive and up-to-date travel health information to travellers about travel vaccinations.

Under this new and alternative avenue, patients will be able to book a telephone consultation directly through the website with a fully trained Nurse Medical Prescriber, who will create a personalised travel health plan for each patient and issue a PSD, if appropriate. The PSD will be sent to the patient’s Rowlands pharmacy of choice, where the trained pharmacist will review and complete the vaccination consultation and administer the vaccination under the direction of the PSD.
Through in depth use of Search Engine Optimisation, the initiative aims to capture a larger portion of the UK vaccinations market including patients of all ages and demographics. The five Rowlands pharmacies participating in the initial pilot are:
